2006 04 18 – Bellecôte North face

Chris/Snowcrazy (below) had suggested skiing an off-piste line on the north face of the Bellcote at La Plagne.
When we arrived up on the glacier the weather wasn’t fantastic but we decided to ski the line anyway in the gaps between clouds. In fact, it was reasonable weather all the way down.
Chris (above) is mostly based around Les Arcs and knows the area well so it’s great to ski with him and he’s able to find good snow and great lines.
The actual run is pretty good, steep and good skiing for around the first third before getting a little soft. At the bottom we skied through the debris of a recent avalanche:
