2006 06 07 - Zinal (ski stations in summer #2)

Time for some walking in the mountains.
It’s barely the start of the summer season for the mountain villages. In Zinal the lift wasn’t running and there were only a few people in the village. We’d gone for a couple of days with our parents to look at the progress on our new build chalet.

Hi there, it’s shaping up to be a lovely property. I too am thinking about building a chalet in Zinal/Grimentz, would you mind telling me which construction company you are using and any others that you come across when planning your project? Many thanks.

We are looking for more infomation about Zinal… We love the place but are a little worried that the ski domain too small is… Does any of you have more experience?
Could you tell us what you think about the domain… too small, too easy,…

That’s impossible to answer, people have such different likes and dislikes and differing levels of skiing ability. Zinal is a very small ski area but there’s around 220km of pistes in the Val d’Anniviers although the four areas aren’t linked.
The general appeal of the area is probably for off-piste skiing.
