Zinal …. so this is Christmas …

Christmas day in Zinal and the slopes are fairly quiet. There’s been no fresh snow but the cannons have been busy and the cover is sufficient on the pistes although it’s hard and icy.

In fact the conditions were a long way less than ideal for the skis I took out, a pair of B2′s, but with the probability of rocks and stones I didn’t want to tear holes out of my Stöcklis. But, the piste maintenance is so good that there was probably nothing to worry about.

But it’s been a clear day and there’s been great views over the Alps
