A fine, sunny day in Zinal with pretty much all of the runs open including the return to the village.

The new(ish) buvette La Marmotte was doing a good trade with the sunny terrace pretty packed.
We took a few minutes to practice with our transceivers in the training area at Zinal, installed back in 2002 it’s claimed to be have been the first permanent installation of it’s kind. The area has 16 possible transmitters and a control panel allows you dial in number of victims and search time, the system then actives the transmitters randomly and you can perform a search.
We skied back to village and the black descent was awful, just no fun at all, nearly glass in places and we made some use of the track at the side, even a descent in a crowded cable car would probably have been better.
