Some fine skiing conditions presently, great snow at the top and some sunshine although the air’s cool and fresh. We skied from Zinal to Grimentz and I got to ski a line I’d fancied for ages on the way. It’s basically a direct line from the the summit of the Sorebois into a couloir then rejoining the Chamois descent which itself was excellent today.

The photographs don’t quite show the angle of course or how awkward the entrance is, there’s a few barely concealed rocks right at the top so you have to hop carefully around them, once that’s one it was quite excellent skiing all the way down.

One rejoining the Chamois and Julie we had some more great skiing in good snow and light powder down to the track into Grimentz and lunch.

Over in Grimentz after lunch I took a look at the slopes in the Couloirs area (above) before skiing another line in the Lona which was fantastic at the top in great untracked powder.
