This is the first time I’ve been up the Bella Tolla this season, it’s been closed the last few times I’ve been over to Saint Luc. It’s a shade over 3000m at the top and the snow is great.

Some fine skiing conditions presently, great snow at the top and some sunshine although the air’s cool and fresh. We skied from Zinal to Grimentz and I got to ski a line I’d fancied for ages on the way. It’s basically a direct line from the the summit of the Sorebois into a couloir then rejoining the Chamois descent which itself was excellent today.

Another day in Zinal, today the domain was fully open with the exception of the Chamois descent. The Combe Durand lift opened slightly late but gave some great skiing.

Finally, after days of storms the sun was out this morning and things looked set for a good early spring day skiing. It’s the Zinal Freeride in town right now so there’s a fee people around for that as well.
