Grimentz - Cabane des Becs de Bosson

After a mid-morning start I decided to take a trip round to the Cabane des Becs de Bosson basically to get some lunch and ski back down again.

After the snow during the week there’s only been two or three people round into this area. While I was out I saw a guy in the distance coming from Mont Noble, another descending that way and three guys who were also on route to the cabane so it was pretty quiet.

They have a huge, enormous dog at the cabane, talking to the guardienne she was saying that the dog was a female and that the male version was about 30kg heavier. The dog comes running out and barking as you arrive at the cabane, and even though I’ve been there before it still makes you pause. Of course, like most big dogs this one has nothing to prove and is perfectly amiable.
