Palanche de la Cretta (Jan. 8th 2008)

With good weather much improved on the previous day we set out from near Pralovin to climb Palanche de la Cretta which is 2926m and around 1200m climb from the bottom.
Some great views in the Val d’Hérens and looking over the Rhone to the Bernese Oberland beyond.
Most of the way down we had pretty good snow but towards the bottom it turned to crust and we were forced to start kick turning down before hitting a track we could schuss down to the road and the bus stop.
