I was in the UK for a few days on various business including a couple of days up in Keswick in the Lake District, we got out on Catbells and High Spy on a great winters day on Saturday and a I took a few snaps.

Given how extreme and damp the weather’s been in the Lakes we were a bit lucky with the day and it was quite enjoyable, it’s somewhere I’ve not been for many years. After trips this year all over the alpes, the Himalayas, Corsica and Morocco it’s great to get to a few familar places in the UK.

This is near where we used to live in the UK and it’s a place I’ve always loved. I was walking through the park the other night and caught some snaps I really quite liked.

A quick weekend trip to the UK for some gritstone climbing with my old climbing club the Oread who were having a joint meet with the Gloucester Mountaineering Club at the Oread hut in the Peak district.

Friday evening was spent on Birchen Edge before a good meal at the “Robin Hood” pub just below the edge and onto Stanage Edge for the Saturday before returning to Birchen Edge for Sunday.
